Get some Fresh Air!

Our friends at Fresh Air had a 'Radio Day', a 24 hour continuous radio show, in aid of Comic Relief last week, and Ains, Pete and Pomplemousse popped in for a wee acoustic session and chat. It was all a bit last minute, so we didn't have time to give you advance warning, but the good news is that you can download the session from the Radio Day page on the Fresh Air site. Although the show is over, please make a small donation if you are able - all you have to do is head to www.myrednoseday.com/radioday and click the big 'sponsor me' button near the top of the page.

Don't forget to listen in online to Fresh Air this Friday, 2nd March, when Ainslie, Pete and Poppy will be back at the station for another acoustic set and chat, this time on the 'This Is Music with HP' show. The show is on from 7.30-9.00pm GMT, and the guys are on around 8.00pm GMT, hopefully better practiced this time!

MONO

Some of you may be aware of Ainslie's cinematic debut, MONO, written and directed by Richard Smith. The short film premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this year, and was well received. The best part is that the film is going further. Thanks to Ainslie's name, a promo copy of the DVD fetched around thirty quid on ebay, and the film Mono has been shortlisted for the LA International Short Film Festival, the Atlantic Film Festival, the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Uppsala Film Festival. it has also been shortlisted to be one of the ten films up for the BBC New Filmmakers Award, which also means it will be aired on BBC3 next year, on the BBC Film Network site and at Brief Encounters (Bristol) for the Awards ceremony itself.

new stuff...

hello folks, i wanted to let you all know that some new material has been added to the site. i thought i could let you all find it on your own, but that it was nicer of me to tell you. there is a remix version of "dust" in the player now, the work of our very own jos medelvic, which is kind of cute, and i have also put my t-shirts and the mugs i made up for sale on the shop. i know the mugs seem expensive, but i made each of them myself, and they take a bloody age to make. because of this they are all slightly different, and terribly charming. x
