The film has also been selected for international competition at Los Angeles Film Festival which runs 21 June-1 July.

Mono, mugs and media...
MONO
We're proud to announce that MONO scooped second prize at the BBC New Filmmakers Talent Award event at Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol last week. BBC Film Network caught up with the three winners at Bristol and talked to them about their award-winning films. Click here to watch a video of what they had to say for themselves.
You can watch the winning films on BBC Three, Friday 8th December. The winner, Cubs, will be shown at 9.50pm, with the other finalists' films, including MONO, being shown at 1.20am (Saturday morning). The films are all also still available to watch on the BBC Film Network.
MUGS
We now have a new batch of Ainslie's handmade mugs for sale in the shop, they tend to sell quickly, so get one while you can!
MEDIA
We've updated the press page with a couple of new, and rather lovely, reviews of 'Growing Flowers by Candlelight'.

MONO
Some of you may be aware of Ainslie's cinematic debut, MONO, written and directed by Richard Smith. The short film premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this year, and was well received. The best part is that the film is going further. Thanks to Ainslie's name, a promo copy of the DVD fetched around thirty quid on ebay, and the film Mono has been shortlisted for the LA International Short Film Festival, the Atlantic Film Festival, the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Uppsala Film Festival. it has also been shortlisted to be one of the ten films up for the BBC New Filmmakers Award, which also means it will be aired on BBC3 next year, on the BBC Film Network site and at Brief Encounters (Bristol) for the Awards ceremony itself.
